The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious Awards for business success, often described as a 'corporate knighthood', and awarded to a very small number of companies by HM the Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister. There are four categories of Queen’s Awards – three for business success (International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development) and one for individual achievement in encouraging UK entrepreneurship (The Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion).

The Queen’s Awards were originally established in 1966, when they were known as The Queen’s Awards to Industry.

Effective Action on Infection Control

A BBC/ ICM poll published in June 2008 surveyed 1,040 people asking them about their attitudes to hospital care. Forty per cent said that their biggest concern was the risk of potentially deadly infections such as MRSA and Clostridium difficile.
All recent Governments have rightly identified the reduction of HAI as a paramount national priority. A system of regulation and monitoring has been set up to encourage the widest use of best practices. We focus on providing a protected environment for patients, staff and visitors, allowing the clinical staff to focus on the delivery of successful treatment and care, while minimising cost and maximising convenience and privacy for patients.

We are continuously advancing our knowledge of anti-microbial technologies, to make products that help people, to take care of people.
