DCCL disposable curtains hits the big screen!

Oct/Nov 2009

NHS 247 TV is the only digital television service broadcasting to NHS employees specialising in
healthcare issues. Over the past few months DCCL have worked closely with NHS 247 TV and are now set to air an interview and commercial about DCCL disposable curtains within the documentary HOSPITAL CHOICE, PATIENT CHOICE that will be screened on Thursday 15 October at 7.30pm and repeated on Sunday 18 October at 6pm on Sky Channel 166 and Freesat Channel 402.

The programme is presented by Georgina Burnett and will showcase hospitals that are leading the way with initiatives that impact on the care given to patients, demonstrating that the patient is their number one priority.

NHS 247 visits The Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London who has converted all of their hospital wards to DCCL disposable curtains with the added protection of a residual biocide that inhibits the growth of MRSA. We talk to hospital staff and DCCL, the makers of the superbug resistant curtains.

“We are so proud to be part of such a significant issue being raised on NHS 247 TV.  Patient safety and patient choice are becoming more and more important and we feel we are able to help not only the patient in terms of safety against MRSA, but hospitals who use our curtain as physical evidence of the efforts they are going to, to keep their patients safe”  says Hazel Cornick of DCCL.

Don’t miss the show… make sure you set your Sky reminder for Thursday 15 October at 7.30pm and again on Sunday 18 October at 6pm on Sky Channel 166 and Freesat Channel 402.
