Disposable Curtains and Blinds

The Kirby Bauer Test

The Kirby-Bauer is a method for testing the antimicrobial susceptibility of bacteria based on the size of zones of inhibition of growth around disks impregnated with the antimicrobial drug.

One difference of the modified Kirby-Bauer test is where the disk from the standard test is replaced with a disposable curtain sample treated with a Fantex antimicrobial solution.

Efficacy explained

Each test involved inoculating a petri dish coated with a layer of nutritious medium

with the test species below.

After 5 minutes All in One Medical’s treated disposable curtain samples were added. During the test, the antimicrobial solution leaches from the curtain into the surrounding media and creates barrier zone. This is the zone that is measured during the Kirby-Bauer test.

According to the results page the samples were removed at the specific day and the zones of inhibition were recorded and measured.

The size of the zone of inhibition is proportionate to the sensitivity of the bacteria.

The QUV weather station

The QUV weather station

The Q-Panel Ultra Violet Testing station (QUV) takes place in an accelerated weathering chamber, designed to create a highly flexible mix of UV light, temperature and moisture conditions. The tests below are intended to reproduce the damage caused by sunlight, rain and condensed surface moisture or dew. The chamber subjects the test materials to alternating cycles of light and moisture at controlled elevated temperatures. The results of our tests are below
